A creative neighborhood that’s bursting with energy? That would be the Lower East Side. This historic New York suburb might be famous for its quirky nightlife and chic boutiques but it’s also close to where all the big business goes down. Where are we? The prime location: Chinatown and Little Italy on the left, SoHO in front, Greenwich Village to the right. Bowery Subway Station is right outside, making Penn Station 18 mins away by L Train for hitting all the big destinations. Zipping between meetings is easy with a hotel this well-connected. For those coming from further afield, LaGuardia Airport is 51 minutes away by public transport or guests can hop in an iconic NYC cab and be at JFK in one hour 15 mins.
A little bit of luxury makes that business trip extra sweet. So what did we do? We put XL beds in all our 300 rooms. Each room has fluffy pillows, blackout blinds and chilled mood lighting to inspire incredible sleep. The temperature and lights can be controlled with the in-room MoodPad, so there’s no need to even get out of bed before falling into a sweet city slumber. Business trippers can wash off the day in a jungle-like power shower and use AM/PM shower gels for invigorating or soothing, depending on their mood. There’s even a streaming-ready smart TV for movie marathons from the bed.
Our designer living room is made for working, relaxing or catching up with colleagues. It has colorful Vitra furniture, walls full of bold artwork, smart TVs and enough books to rival the Morgan Library. Superfast Wi-Fi? It’s absolutely everywhere. Our high-speed internet makes connecting to that all-important meeting effortless. There are even iMacs for guest use when that laptop is still tucked away at the office. When a breather is needed between catch-ups, we have a leafy, green courtyard area to sit and watch the world go by. It’s a little blast of Central Park bliss.
Nothing beats the New York skyline – and, hey, it looks even better from the roof. Our cloudM rooftop bar gives panoramic city views so keeping tabs on the Empire State Building is simple. Our fully stocked bar has a menu of signature drinks to pair with a successful day. New contract signed? It’s margarita time! After-work drinks with colleagues and work partners will have jaws dropping from every angle. And whatever time that meeting ends, there will always be a mind-blowing meal waiting back at the hotel. Our canteenM kitchen is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Traditional NYC pizza? Fresh crab cakes? What a dream.
